…well, barely a colour. Really, it’s just a whiff, a chalky poof of off-white. Introducing: PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer, which, I’m sorry to say, I think is unimaginative and 100% forgettable.

Pantone itself seems utterly tickled with its choice, describing Cloud Dancer as:
“A lofty white that serves as a symbol of calming influence in a society rediscovering the value of quiet reflection. A billowy white imbued with serenity, Cloud Dancer encourages true relaxation and focus, allowing the mind to wander and creativity to breathe, making room for innovation.”
Huh?
It’s very Meghan Markle, isn’t it? (Although she’d have undoubtedly added something about it being a reflection of her true, authentic self.)
Pantone goes on:
“With its expansive presence, Cloud Dancer invites a space where function and feeling intertwine to build atmospheres of serenity and spaciousness, providing a refuge of visual cleanliness that inspires well-being and lightness.”
I would say they’re gilding the lily, but it’s more like dressing the word salad.
Okay, that’s all.
